Brett Moore, DDS was born and grew up in Minnesota, being raised in Eden Prairie and graduating from Eden Prairie High School in 2002 as valedictorian of his class.
He is a very proud Wisconsin Badger supporter having attended the University of Wisconsin – Madison, Wisconsin and graduated with honors in 2006 with a Bachelor of Sciences in Zoology.
Once he finished his undergrad, Dr. Moore wanted to return to his roots and decided to attend The School of Dentistry at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, from where he graduated in 2010. He joined the U.S. Navy upon completion of dental school and served in the military as a Dental Officer for four years on active military duty and continued as a Reserve Dental Officer upon leaving active duty. During his time in the military, Dr. Moore chose to further his dental education by undertaking an additional one-year residency through an Advanced Education in General Dentistry at U.S. Naval Hospital Portsmouth, VA. The remainder of his time in the U.S. Navy was spent stationed in Norfolk, VA both at a shore-based dental clinic and aboard various ships. The majority of which was aboard the USS Harry S Truman providing dental care to sailors and marines. Upon completion of his commitment to the U.S. Navy, Dr. Moore and his family wanted to return to Minnesota to practice dentistry and be closer to the family. Dr. Moore joined the team at Smile Design Dentistry in August of 2014 and he became a partner in the practice in January of 2016.
Dr. Moore views Dentistry a commitment to lifelong learning. Through this commitment to continuing education, he is able to provide his patients with a multi-faceted approach to address their dental needs. He strives to stay up-to-date on the latest technologies, materials and cosmetic dental procedures to ensure that his patients are provided with the best dental care available. Some of the highlights of his continuing education include earning 300 hours in dental implant and prosthodontic education through the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID) – MaxiCourse at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine in New Jersey. He spent ten months learning all facets of implant treatment planning, placement and restorations in a comprehensive curriculum culminating in earning the first step in his Associate Fellowship in the AAID. Dr Moore commitment to continuing education has earned him the distinction of being a Fellow in the Academy of the General Dentistry. Knowledge he puts towards providing exceptional care for his patients.
More recently he completed 100 hours through the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in the Contemporary Restorative and Esthetic Dentistry course. Over the course of seven months, Dr. Moore worked hands-on with materials and techniques to produce beautiful dentistry for his patients to enjoy and use for years to come. Combining these large-scale courses with the study groups and more short-term continuing education, Dr. Moore works tirelessly to stay up to date and provide the best possible dentistry and beautiful smiles to his patients.General Family Dentistry is a passion for Dr. Moore, for him the broad scope of procedures he can provide as a general dentist keeps the practice of dentistry exciting. Through a relationship-focused practice such as Smile Design Dentistry, Dr. Moore is able to build long-term trust with his patients and enjoys seeing patients grow as both individuals and in their families.
